NewEra Software, Inc. today announced that Glennon Bagsby has been selected by the Board of Directors as the next CEO of the company effective October 1. Bagsby will succeed Paul Robichaux, who co-founded NewEra in 1990.
Bagsby has had an impressive career with NewEra, having been with the company since day one. He has been President since 1992.
Bagsby is in his fifth decade of mainframe experience, beginning in the United States Air Force helping to provide support and service to the USAF and NATO. He has continued to work with organizations around the world to understand their use of the mainframe helping to provide them software solutions to assist in the management of the IBM Mainframe environment.
“Glennon is the right person to lead NewEra into the future,” said Robichaux. “His experience of over 30 years with the organization gives him a perspective and background that’s unmatchable.”
“I’m humbled and honored by the Board’s confidence in me,” said Bagsby. “They set the vision for our commitment to supporting the IBM Mainframe platform.
The Board of Directors has been planning for the leadership transition for the last two years, after Robichaux expressed his intention to reduce his level of responsibility. The Board stated “Paul’s leadership has set us up well for continued success. At the same time, we are ready for Glennon to lead NewEra into the future.”
